I'm going to start wrapping my doors and was looking a 3M adhesive. Is there something better that some of you used or is that one pretty decent??

thank you because it gets hot in the summer in kansas city also and last summer I noticed my doors that I covered began coming off. will try this product! was looking for something that could handle the heat and was having a hard time.

77 will stick pretty much anything, we use it at work on occasion for repairs etc on some of the stuff which is pretty thick and ehavy material just make sure that you coat even sprays it does come out a little slow

We used to use 3m 77 here at my work and we build our own beds here and it HOLDS! We now use 2 different glues. one is a permanent glue that you apply like you are painting a car and the other is a can glue. So the 77 will hold latex, viscoelactic memory, and polyurethane foams together along with fabric and many other things.

I was able to contact momo and get a hold of a 4 yard piece, it's the same thing they used on my steering wheel. It's 1.0-1.2mm thick.

I'm wondering if I can just slap it on top of my existing material or if I should remove it and then apply this on the plastic??

it'll hold either way with the 77

is there a backing of some sort on that material?? if not you are going to be able to see what is underneath it thru the holes...on my doors and headliner i just put it right over top of the other stuff and the 77 has been doing a kick ass job thus far...on my dash i removed all the padding and went straight to the plastic and again holding like a champ...make sure you tuck it under far enough so it doesnt pull back...cut my first one to short and it did that to me

good luck :P

^^^x2 if there is a decent foam backing on it the rip it off but if not then just go over the old panels no sense in relaying whats already there, plus it is easier and faster, but you do not really want to go to the bare plastic you can but i wouldnt reccomend it

Well my doors has this grey material on. The leather I got from MOMO is perforated and I do want the grey /silver to show, that is why I was asking. I want to do the same on the dash without removing the vinyl. I figured I leave about 1 or so on the back and I will probably hot glue the back to hold it really good or staple it until it cures, I don't want it to pull while it's curing or drying, I also got this thing that shows me how to cut the leather for the corners so it folds good with out creasing.
