I am wondering how hard it is to swap out an EGR for a newer one. Threw a code for a EGR Flow Malfunction, have a spare. From just a quick glance it looks like a couple bolts. It can't be that simple, or can it? Thanks in advance.

^^ What you're describing is the EGR solenoid.

Are you needing to replace the EGR solenoid or the valve on the intake manifold?

If it's the valve, it's just bolted on. Disconnect the vacuum tube, unbolt it and make sure not to lose the gasket. Keep the gasket faced around the same way and then bolt the replacement right up. This isn't something you really need instructions for...

Thanks. Just wanted to know if it was as easy as it looks. All I know is that it was a code for EGR flow malfunction. I have a spare so Im going to clean that up real good and swap it. Thanks for the input.
