i have the shifter, shift linkage, slave cylinder, clutch master cylinder (and the lines going to the slave). all i need is a clutch, flywheel, starter and the tranny. im following goosey2099 tutorial. He used a 2g flywheel and clutch off of a 97 gst fwd. is it possible to use the clutch and a flywheel from an awd 95-99 eclipse? ill post pics up of my parts when i get home.

One more thing the only confusion i have is with the wiring. how do i know which one is pin 9+10 and 7+8?? thanks for your help guys

i know shaddow has that setup on his 7g and says it works perfectly fine. I just bought a fidanza 7bolt flywheel off eBay for $173 shipped. Right now I am rocking a stock Exedy oem replacement clutch and it holds my power fine(~250-280whp) and it was only $80.

And the AWD flywheel is smaller in diameter then the FWD so you cant use it. The clutch is the same between AWD and FWD and 6bolt and 7bolt.

Yeah I know, he needs to spin it around so the hose doesn't wrap around.

Thats not a big deal, but if you havent installed those cables yet, dont. that bent one is gone, it needs replaced.

I'm jealous! I want five-speed!

How hard was it to drill holes through the firewall for the master?

Not hard if you have the right tools.

It just looks difficult but its not.

i did this swap a while back and its probably the easiest thing ever the only problem i am having is the damn reverse light wires b/c if the connector didn't come w/ the transmission for them u will ahve to search a junk yard bc the dealer cannot get them, and you have to figure out which wires to tap into to get the damn lights to go on in reverse all i can get is for them to go on in general....

Not hard if you have the right tools.

Hell its not even that hard with the wrong tools, I used a drill and a sawzall and it came out near perfect, then I painted the exposed metal to keep it from rusting.

has anyone run into any problems with the conversion (not installing, i mean in general like parts breaking, not working, stuff like that as a daily driver)

Ive run into just about everthing there is, from cables falling off of the transmission to the entire shifter base falling off. None of it is hard to fix, its just a minor inconvinence.

Looks good dude. I was going to mention that you could also use 3G flywheel with Act2100 clutch an keep your stock starter but you already purchased stuff. If you need help with the wiring, pm me and I'll show you, pretty easy though.
