Well my jdm sides have few scratches underneath, how can i prep them my self? figured it save me some money if i did it instead the body shop. Bondo? does that work with abs or just metal? Also what kind of primmer can i use? can i use a rattle can? or will the auto-paint need diff primer?

well bondo is not the best stuff for plastic but it would do the job just make sure u sand the area real good..u shoulnt use can primer it wont fill the straches good might end up seen the straches on the paint if u dont have any other way use dupli color primer it works..

I'm not a body work expert but I would stay away from bondo whenever possible. For most plastics you can buy specific stuff to fill/glue. Take a look at SEM bumper repair products.

are you talking about deep scratches in your sideskirts? Most of the time you can sand it down deep enough with a D/A sander that they will dissapear.
If they still need a little filling, you should prime them and sand it down. But the rattlecan stuff wont work. You will need an adhesion promoter and a 2 component primer (primer + hardener). If the painter is quoting you $130 to fix the scratches and repaint the skirt, that not a bad price, id say pay to get it done.

with all the money youve spent on that car i suggest you just take it and get it done, that 130 is really not too much when added into the cost of the full paint job youve been talking about, and at least you know it will come out looking really good
