ok, so here is the thing. i am having my timing belt replaced tomorrow. i could do it myself, but for stuff like this i prefer to take it to a mechanic to have done. that way if anything is screwed up they have to pay for the repairs. but to save a few bucks i am supplying my own parts. i have the belts and the water pump, i know they are right. but when i got the tentioners and idler in, they say, well here is a pic of what they say...

As far as I know (and I just did a quick cross-reference on a Dayco kit), they're the same for the 7G 4G64 and the 8G 4G64. You should be fine.

The idler and tensioner pulley's look right...but the application ID of the year range for the timing belt concerns me.

Yeah, the pulleys are fine but that belt isn't going to work. 8G's have 123 teeth, 7G's have 124 teeth.

i compaired them to the pics on the tut and they look the same but like you say the dates are what im worried about.

warm, i have visited the dayco site and it tells me that the part number is 84075 and thats the part number i have but like 4-G-rim pointed out the years are what im concerned about. if nothing else ill take them to the mechanic (who has a galant btw) and ask him if they look right.

the belts are correct they are part numbers 95168 and 95232, which according to the dayco site they are correct

edit: also thanks for the fast responses. i greatly appreciate it

Yeah, I think it is. I thought the same thing when I opened my Gates timing belt kit.
