Im relatively new with the customizing of my G, I4 2002

Ive done a few but stuck where to go in your opinions.

so far ive done clear corners, 18's,painted calipers,reverse glow gauges...

Im considering DOHC head swap (maybe turbo build)

Lower, stuck between air ride and springs and shocks.

Or possibly a tranny swap - 5 speed
Feel free to leave your opinion on each subject (personal build advise??)

i'm on KYB/GR2 for my suspension, feels great.
currently building a 14B setup, would only get me to around 200bhp. With your car, depends on if you're a I4 or V6...
Build advice: get all the parts you need before the install, and do all the research necessary, good luck :)

i knew that, i haven't seen a DOHC V6 yet :lol:
what i meant was his hp after a turbo build
I4: ~ 200bhp
V6: 270+bhp (guestimate):?

Why are you using bhp numbers? That's just dumb. Nobody around here knows what their car makes at the crank. The V6 can make about 250-275 WHP on stock internals with a nice cool charge.

my bad, started confusing the two :oops:

edit: for the 5 speed swap, 99-01 don't have to worry about the CEL, 02s and 03s still get the light after the swap :(
check with GOOSEY2099, he has a tutorial on the swap.

Can you change the ECU for a older one to get rid of the light?

no the 02 and 03 cannot be swapped w/ an 00 to get rid of the light

I could if I really wanted to switch everything of my 99 on my 02 but I dont give a crap about that light. I will fix it.

Bags I think are for cruising, taking it easy. If you talking about Turbo, head swaps, no air is my advice. You want something stiffer then that like maybe lowering springs or Coil overs.

5spd is kinda simple but if you have prior knowledge, it should be accomplished, no problem. Read tutorials, look at pictures. I also have pictures of my swap in progress so feel free to search, plan ahead and decide what you want when all said and done. Once you know that and have the cash, everything falls into place.
