i was wondering would the m3 mirrors off a 95- and up eclipse fit our 7g galant ?

i dont think so

seth98esT
01-06-2003, 01:23 PM
they may fit, depending on the bolt patter, but i think the 95-99 eclipse mirrors are not pointed in the front piece like ours...they are boxed i believe....if that makes sense

Those look like they will not fit for sure. I think Accord M3 mirrors might actually be closer... :puzzled1:

its not gonna be a perfect fit but it shouldn't be too hard to do. uhm chances are ur gonna need to first make some new mounting holes. then make the base nice and pretty with some filler or fiberglass or something. and then for the easy part. the wiring. i haven't teared down either of the cars yet but if the connectors don't match up, a wiring diagram for both cars would be a great thing to have.

ok well i went out today and was about to take off the mirror, but couldnt pull back the door panel enough to get to the bottum bolt...so do we have to almost take off the whole door panel to get to that bottum bolt? i looked at his and he had a 3 bolt patter so i dunno, it was way too cold out to mess around with it. i think i am just going to order some m3 mirrors for the 2g eclipse and see what happens. which me luck

QnzMostWanted

The first pic is a pic of a 96 accord drivers side mirror bolt setup. The second is a Drivers side mirror of a 95 Accord. and third is a Passengers side mirrror of a galant. the mountings look like different screw wise but looks like its the same setup. it looks to me that the hold are the same in all pics. you guys tell me..they are alll from power mirrors so i dont know if its the same as manual mirrors. i think its a match and a go definite on these. but if someone can get their hand on a 94-97 accord mirror for fitment that would be excellent. lets get this thing rolling guys.

you didnt hafta take off or pry at your door panel to get your mirrors off? the lower bolt on mine is kinda hiding under the door panel so i hafta either take it all off or just part way. i took out those two screws that were visible, but it would not budge enough. how do you take off the door panel on the mirror side?

BTW i ordered some 2g eclipse power m3 mirrors off of eBay for $89 shipped. should get em in a week, ill post pictures or problems. also, ill try to fit my friends 94-97 accord mirrors on at that time as long as its somewhat warm :?

Seth, you want to know how to remove the inside door panel?

Easy:
Take the screws out around the door and the one on the little dip tray in the window/lock controls. Pull that out and unhooh the wire harness
There might be a screw in the door handle, can't remember..

Pull the bottom of the door lightly until the plactic clips unhook (POP!)

Pull the door upwards and out, there are clips holding it to the window sill.

I think that's it https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif

ok i got my old mirror off and test fit the m3s, but it is not a direct bolt on, sorry guys. BUT i wil get them to fit. I either hafta file down the base plaste cause it it too big and use the existing holes, or file down the base plate a tad and drill new holes(which will probably work the best)

but either way they will work with some modification. they looked nice though when i had them on(only held on by one bolt and plenty of gaps)

anybody want to buy some power mirror motors?

good news guys i was messin around with the mirrors and screwed the bottum left side into the original hole and everything lined up! (not the other holes, just the outside https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) I have drill 2 new holes for the top and far right and do just a little bit of sanding cause the base is a tad too long but they will fit!

http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid52/p4241d6d73cef604aa01581df81f41ab2/fc9be221.jpg
I am going to sand down the base here so the mirrors fit on flat

and finally i am going to sand a tad where the base and the window meet cause towards the bottum the base gets longer than what it is at the top

other than the sanding, some weather stripping and the wiring, they are done  i am planning on having them both sanded and wired by Sat or Sun...

2g eclipse ones...tried to fit on the accord ones, but the 2g ones will take less modding. alls i had to do was a little sanding on the base and drill 2 holes per mirror. i have them both on now, only thing left to do is weather strip em so they dont leak, walmart was out of weather stripping otherwise that would be done too. more pictures up tomorrow...

they are very bright, i wired em up to a switch though, if i wired them to my blinkers i would get pulled over for sure. i switch them on and off and i look like a cop :lauging: they also illuminate like a halo around the actual mirror, its rather neat.

if i had a nice digicam the pics would be better

with the switch do they just stay on or does it just give you control turn the turn signals on or off .... just asking cuz in virginia everything is pretty much illegal and with fairfax and prince william they find every excuse to pull you over and dont need any more tickets for my tint..

you can hook em up any way you want. theres two different wires for the light, 1 for blinkers and 1 for parking. but i just wired them both directly to a switch so they both turn on and off at the same time. you can wire em in whatever way fits your needs, or just dont wrie them at all...
