It's easy dude. Get a floor jack under your transmission and jack it up just until you feel the weight and stop! You want the transmission to sit at that level while you remove the mounts, that way it's easy to replace them and all holes line up right. I believe they are 14mm bolts and one nut. Hold the nut and work the bolt that holds the mount to the transmission bracket. Take the bolt out. Now remove the 2 14mm bolts and it should come out, like 5 minutes. Put the new one in and reverse your steps. Same for the rear but you have 3 14mm bolts and then the bolt wit the nut.

yea, its pretty straight forward. make sure you have a good floor jack, have the car supported on jack stands.

i jacked the motor instead on the oil pan, but i made sure to put a block of wood inbetween the jack and the oil pan to help reduce the risk of denting the pan.

and before you start taking things apart, i suggest you just located the motor mounts, the bolts that hold them in, and make sure you have all the appropriate tools to get to them.

easy enough i will order the mounts next week and tackle this on a nice day, i didnt think i twas this easy thats why i wanted to ask, my mechanic wants to charge me like lil over $200 for the job including parts but if i can save myself a $100 or whateer the labor is then great

do i just call the dealer and ask for a front and rear motor mounts ?? or do they have some kind of "technical" name for the them i know dealers are weird

thansk

Like raz and pinoy pretty much said its straight forward but If i were you i'd replace the tranny mount and the side engine mount as there probably not too far behind....I'd also get a couple of replacement nuts just incase you have trouble with them.....technically they call them front and rear roll stoppers but they should know what motor mounts are lol

I got the front one replaced now I'm trying the rear and the bolt that holds it down won't budge, I can't fit my gun in there and I don't have enough space to push down on it

Any ideas I'm going out and I wanna take the car

Need help asap

well job is completed and everything went smooth but I have one problem

I used my impact gun for the rear and I made one mistake I over torques one of the screws that holds the mount to the frame so it stripped the hole and now it won't tighten all the way I'm thinking about drilling the hole bigger and threading for a bigger screw but I really don't wanna go that way unless I have no other options

So hit me up with any good ideas please

I took plenty of pictures so a toturial is coming tomorrow

Thanks

never use an air gun unless your bolts are already on the nut then torque with a wrench or by hand

its easy, but for me when i was taking one bolt that held the front mount off, the damn bold broke at the head... so i took my drill with a big bit and started drilling,,, that didnt work so i took a 1/2 inch long rod and started hammering at it from the top... after 10 0r so hard blows it came off... but still had to drill the frame so i can put a new bolt and nut....

if you have basic mechanical knowlage then ull be ok..

My car was vibrating harder than usual esp when coming to a stop. It took me about 6hrs with absolutely NO experience. lol After the front one I thought the rest would be a piece of cake. On the rear one it took me about 45 min to realize taking the battery and battery pan out of the way would be easier. I'm going to change the front right one in a couple of days
