Scattershields are a GREAT investment. Though I read about this SRT4 a week ago and it doesn't help that the owner of this car was revving the 2.4 way out of its range.

Seems like DCR has a problem with their clutch assemblies. I read there's a 50% failure rate. It's sad he spent that much money to build his motor to a beast and didn't spend $200 on a scatter shield. I think if you run sub-12 seconds NHRA requires them.

I think the the NHRA rule varies by class. Typically the flywheels explode when your using a cast iron flywheel because once it stress cracks it grenades into a million pieces. I am personally looking into making one for my car.
