How do I black out my head lights and tail lights myself? Has anyone done it successfully or have a tutorial on this?? I looked but didnt see a thread that explained it, I saw somewhere though that you use acrylic paint? Thanks for any help!

Haha, don't paint your lights. You will be disappointed.

They have spray on films that you can use, or you can get pre cut tints to put on, similar to window tint.

I have never done it, so I can't recommend you anything.

Do you know if they are legal?

It depends on the state I am pretty sure. It is probably a gray area where you can only have it so dark.

Where did you buy the spray tint you used? How much was it?

for the front i'd go with covers or some sort of tinting film like lamin-x

and for the rear, i'd go the same way or even a tinting spray like vht nightshades.

never spray in the front though.

Your headlights look like they wouldnt be a hassle with the fuzz, they still have the red shade on and off. I like the dark tint though.. looking at the first pic, did you do the galant headlights too? Is it easy to remove the lights??

Just try your local automotive stores. They had it for sale in my local shop for $10 per can.

i got mine on eBay as no one in town had it. its about ten bucks online also

for my headlights they are just black housing, got them on ebay for $150 when i wrecked my car a few years ago

you could also paint your headlight housings black from the inside if you want, that consists of taking them off and putting them in the oven and opening them up and painting the plastic piece that goes around the inside of the headlight, but not the separate piece of the reflector that the headlight bulb is mounted to
