Does anyone have any idea on what kind of box I should bulid for my 8g's trunk?

Crazy-ass subs. Here's what my box looks like, though its designed for 12's...lets me keep a good amount of my trunk and the acoustics are pretty spot-on.

The sub I have in there now is a p315. I would love to have both in there I do not think it will happen. Since I have owned my car I have never had a spare tire and a trunk so I am not worried about that.

I know it does but I want to build a box that will look good in the trunk, plexiglass and neons.

it has to be vented for the T series. 2-3.5 cu ft

personally i think 15+ is way over kill, but i'm SQ not SPL

then build it to the specs on the website. not that hard. just figure the cu ft of the box when building it.

that's a horrible set up. talk about some frequency cancelation.

I know! lol. All you can hear is the trunk rattle. Now I have the 15 and its turned the other way facing the front of the car. It sounds good but I need more.

get sound deadening and you should technically have it turned towards the back because of the length of the sound wave.

Yeah you have some effed up acoustics there, dont know the wavelengths on those but if thats out of phase with each other you are missing a WHOLE lot of sound.

I got rid of that setup and just have one 15.The others are sitting in the closet.

20Hz note has a wave length of 56.5ft

also you could potentially with some subs, put the sub in reverse polarity and make it hit harder. i know the T1 is like that

I had some comp vr's for a while, quality sub, but something was causing a rattling noise, I think the dust caps were coming loose.

Now I have 4 Infinity 1030w's in a custom-built box, right to their specs, i'll keep this til the next car

Yeah i have the same Sub u just bought dude the T2, had a friend build the box to it specs and rino lined it, anyhow when we finished the box it barely cleared the trunk of my car and has to turn it at an angle to go in . Also its gonna sit right in the middle of the trunk as the bars from trunk prevent it to slide back, unless u have a conversion trunk kit on it. Speaker and box both come out to weigh close to 150LBs give or take, if you have stock suspension this will weigh down alot on it. I still haven't put it in the car for that reason. Im gonna get some kyb AGX or coilovers for the back for weight and more than likely will use dampner mat for vibration. Also what amp are u gonna us to power ur beast, it useses alot of power so ur gonna need a beast of an amp and a cap 4 sure. I need to seen my Fosgate t1000 amp to get it refurbed or im gonna use a Kicker sx1200.

yeah i miss the bass in my car. i had 2 12" audiobahn SQ subs being powered by an 800 watt audiobahn amp, but the rca's snapped off in the amp, thus time to upgrade
