Anybody try these struts that Sears offers with LIFETIME warranty?

Just that I had one of my struts go out on me after lowering it for a while.
Will these Monroe's hold up?

i'd read the terms of the warranty first. im pretty sure with struts like that they would be void if u lowered ur car or something. im pretty sure they won't match up with the agx's by kyb but could be an option over oem mitsu struts

I asked the Sears people about the warranty, but I didn't ask them about a lowered car.

What they said is the part itself is lifetime warranty. They told me i can buy them and install them myself and the warranty will still hold. If they ever break, just take them off and bring them back.

I guess, they don't have to know the car is lowered right??

I guess they don't have to know but, i'd get all the terms and conditions of the warranty on paper and make sure u read all the fine print b4 u do get them.

I bought sensatracs for my daily driver (92 Galant GS). They work well and are much improved over my worn out struts. Had em for about the last 10K miles and so far so good....

Anything would probably be better than blown stock struts... if the warranty was lifetime you'd just have to worry about installing/removing!

Sorry Evolution, don't got the part numbers.

I just called up Sears. Its on sale at Sears right now. $62.99ea for the front struts.

Maybe you can check for part number at sears.com or any tire shop.
They are the Monroe Sensa-Trac.

ok, pepboys, autozone, and sears all have the wrong info for my car!

Correction! Anybody shopping for Monroe Sensa-trac's: They don't exist for 8G's! My 99 model got lumped with the the 7G's on their computers and I don't know why. I went to SEars, pepboys, and autozone and they all pulled the wrong struts for out 8g's.

Just went to Advance Auto yesterday because I just blow my front driver strut. They pulled up 2000+ eclispe and didn't have anything listed, and then pulled up my 99 Galant and the monroe strut was listed. Cost $59 bucks. Didn't get it because I wasn't sure if they would hold up. May have to go back and give them a try.

Hey Blue, on your lil' profile pic, the front end view, it looks as if you don't have any license plate holes in your front bumper. Is it the picture, or do you not have the two holes there?

niterider,

the ones listed for 99 are for the 7G's. Won't fit! They somehow lumped our cars with the 7G's.

I already checked them out...they are the wrong ones.
