View Full Version : No Keyhole in trunk?

Is there no keyhole on the 2003 galants in the trunk. I went to open my trunk yesterday and realized there is no keyhole to open it...I've seen keyholes on other 8th gens

only 99 00 01 has the key hole, on 02 03 you either open them with the remote or the latch under the seat.

ahh ok i like the look of not having it there, but because i dont have a remote it kinda sucks having to go to the front door...also loved how the trunk was already shaved :)

that's not a smart move on mitsu's behalf

i can't use the latch on the inside because there is a cable broken somewhere or something, so i have to use my key

hbalagh- did your trunk garnish already come painted or did you do that? looks good
i want to paint mine, but if it comes stock, then i might just buy one (i suck at painting shit, LOL)

the 02/03's come with the garnish painted to match from the factory

really?
i thought only gtz had color matches trunk garnish?
i need a silver one with no key hole if any one has one. my keyhole doesn't work anymore thanks to some asshole.

You sure that the switch is not set correctly when you open up the trunk, when its set to key only and you pull the level in the front seat it does not feel like it does anything, which may seem like something is broke but its not.

i believe i tried it with the white switch in both positions and then i pull the lever i don't feel anything, but will double check
