Yeah, I did some more searching and these look interesting:

Kicker KS-Series 6" Component Speakers

Does anybody know if the stock door tweeters go thru a crossover or directly to the radio?

Yeah, I have the Infinity 4 way amp that came with the car.

then it should be ok then. so the speaker wire would go to the crossover then from the crossover to your woofer and tweeter

where would u place the crossover though ?? In the door ?? I got the jen tweeters but I have an old audiobahn component that I wanna install and run it to an amp

What the easiest way to hook up a set of components to an amp ??

easiest way? there is only 1 way. HU>>amp>>crossover>>speakers

you could place the x-over in the door, in the glove box, mold it into the door, put it under the dash, etc

so the wire in the door goes to crossover and then I guess I extend the speaker wire from the car harness to the amp instead of the HU, right ??

Ok do I keep the speaker wires connected to the head unit or not ?? I'm guessing I have to disconnect it since its gonna get power through the RCA wire ??

your speakers will not be connected to the HU via the speaker wire. thus just leave them disconnected, but leave them in the harness

ok it's simple. just leave the speaker wires from your HU just behind your HU and detached from the speakers. Then take RCA cables from your HU to your amp. Then take speaker wires from your amp to the crossover. Then speaker wire from x-over to speakers. Easy as that.

thats what I said the first time , instead of running speaker wire from the amp to the door to get to the speaker just connect the speaker wire coming from the amp to the speaker wire on the car harness and connect the crossover to the speaker wire thats in the door already , just less hassle

Thanks for clearing it up

i would not touch the wires in the harness at all. use better speaker wire.

well thats an alternative for who wants an easy install but since I already ran wires through the door its easy to do again
