Im just anewbie here and I dont know how to use sa search feature to its full potential. Im sorry. Anyway I have a question, is there an illegal kelvin temperature for HIDs here in California?
some say that its ok but im not really sure. Is it good to have 8k hids + the black crystal assembly sold on ebay?

Any alteration to vehicle lighting is prohibited anywhere. For the most part though, you can get away with similar to factory HIDs.

Nice ride btw, the lip and wheels look great together.

stick to 4300K or 5000K which is very white and looks oem, which wouldn't grab attention like the blue hue in 8K if your worried. Don't get anything higher then 8K very ricer and cops are going to know its aftermarket. I had 8K and it wasn't even that bright plus inspection guy seen then and knew galants dont have hids from factory so he told me to swap them out and bring the car back. Recently i just got inspected again but now i have 4300K, this time guy didnt say nothing same guy.

anyone can spot a plug and play kit over factory hids. plug and play kits have tons of glare and blind people, factory hids have something called a cutoff and so do retrofits

yeah they'll find it if they open the hood but i doubt it's something you'll get pulled over for

I've driven all over the midwest without issues.

Granted its not legal, never been even noticed by the powers that be. Personally though HID projectors would be the best solution.

Sure there are 5000k bulbs. They won't be quite like real HID, but the Polargs are a great choice, great bulbs, great company. I've never heard complaints about them.
