Ive got 3 directed audio 10inch SX10D4 with a a1004 directed audio amp.

thats the specs for the amp and the subs are 600watt rms with a 1200watt peak.

Im not sure if I should get another amp or not, but they just feel like it should hit so much harder for 3 subs.

yes they are underpowered, get an 1800 watt amp and itll be your best bet.

Do you have any recommendations for an amp at a good price?

you'll be paying a pretty penny for an amp that strong

Get a kole audio 1920 wat amp, i have pushing my 2 super triplex made by cadence, the subs are rated at 750 rms each and this amp powers them perfectly

thats the cheapest hifonics amp with that much watts, or u can go for teh 1600 watts for 30 bucks less, in my opinion just get the 2000 watt and turn it down to run at rms

Thats to much for my budget you think this amp will help give them a bigger thump?

Im running two MTX 10's at 600 watts rms on a 1000w amp they don't seem to under powered i just have everything turned down.

Just a recommendation from experience i would get a cap about a 1.5 - 2.0 fared.

A one chanel amp is usually called a mono amp, which is the prefix for one or single. That just means that you have an output for only one speaker or sub. A two channel has two outputs, two postitives and two negatives, ideally used for two or more subs.

if your running all three 10's i wouldnt get a mono amp, get either a 2 or multi channel amp, and if you get a 2 channel ampyou would have to bridge iit. Mono is made for running 1 sub, although you can run more then 1 off of it. Also if your going for 1800w RMS If you dont have anything in your electric system upgraded then i would start upgrading that. because the higher you get the more power it needs and if you get an amp thats to big your gonna kill your battery and alt. right away.

your best bet is gettting a mono amp. wire em up like shown in the picture and you will get a 2.7 ohm load

http://akamaipix.crutchfield.com/ca/learningcenter/car/subwoofer_wiring/3DVC_4-ohm_mono.jpg

find something that does a bit more than 1800 RMS @ 2 ohm, you will be getting a little less power out of it because you willing be running it at a higher ohm load
