what is the best way to make the single din slot a double din slot and move the ac controls down?

what would be the best color scheeme for interior? (first was woodgrain) (then painted black on white scheme) (now at black on black) any suggestions for a good color scheme for a bodega beige galant with blue neons all up in the interior?

You would need to cut the radio bezel up and do this custom.

For color scheme, I would look at David's interior personally... http://www.dangerdanj.com/

If you can, get an extra bezel to do this instead of your factory one, in case you plan to go back to single DIN.

Like Niytrus said you will need to cut out one of the bars and you will need to finish it off also. Like bondo and what not.
this is what I have in my car right now

it was made by a members body shop. I have a car pc and that is a 7" touch screen. Basically what the guy did was cut the middle bar out, and the screen is in a case. He opened the case and fiberglassed the front of it to the back of the bezel. And then he put the screen in and then screwed the back of the screen case down.
here is another pic

I used to have this in my galant.

It was custom made by a shop in NJ. I am actually selling it if you are interested. It has 2 2.5" screens made by Accell and I have a dvd player for sale as well.
As far as moving the AC controls down. Very simple. Remove the bezel, and take the 4 screws out of the AC panel. Move it down and drill new holes. There is just enough slack to move it down that far.
this is a messy pic but this is what it looks like moved down without the bezel

Basically, take your stock bezel, cut out one of the bars, sand, prime, and paint. It's really simple once you get over the fright of messing with your car...

this is what i'd do.

move the ac controls down.

mount the double din radio or whatever.

then i'd take the radio bezel and cut out that center bar.

try it on for fit, make sure you don't have to cut anything else.

most radios come with some sort of trim ring. i'd take that trim ring and make that fit overtop of the bezel.

then i would just mold that trim ring into the bezel.
