Rag top on a Galant??

That was the "Diamond Edition" Galant, which was apparently a dealer option (not sure if it was officially from Mitsubishi).

There was an owner on this forums, don't remember who - try searching for Diamond edition.

Actually there was a member here with it some time ago. I don't think he's around anymore, maybe you can dig up the thread. It looked ugly IMHO, it just doesn't belong on an import. I really doubt it was a dealer option, maybe someone just went crazy and went custom.

I've seen two of these in my area, both were pretty beat up too. Looks nasty to me.

I've seen a few of the fake rag top Galants in my area over the years too. Definitely ugly. I'm not sure what the deal was with those Galants, if they were dealer options or something you could special order from Mitsubishi or what?
