car shakes when when I step on the breaks

My car vibrates( especially at a high speed) when I step on the breaks. I changed both rotors and break pads (front).
It was doing the same thing before the change.

Seems that the problem is comming from the right wheel, since I tested it.... couldnt quite figure what is wrong though.

Rotate your tires sounds like they are Cupping and need to be balanced.!

thats weird it only shakes when the brake is applied, and that the brake/rotor change didnt help...

Sounds like warped rotors, even if you did replace the rotors but didn't brake the pads in correctly, you are back to square one.

yeah that was my problem with the exact same issue. New rotors and pads fixed that right up

I've actually bought a pair of rotors from o'reillys before that were warped enough to give me a shudder. Might try having the surface skimmed.

I had this same problem, and it was the lower control arm bushings gone bad. It's the high speed vibration while braking fairly hard that tells me it's not a warped rotor, plus you just replaced the rotors. If you don't get that same kind of vibration when coming to a stop from low speeds it's not a rotor problem. There's a TSB for the 2000G regarding this-search for 'brake judder'.

also check out your rear brakes.. could be coming from there...

see if you lower or upper controle mount ( cant remember which the G has) Bushing are good they could be out and need replacing, had the same problem but not with my 8g it was an olds,,, hope this helps
