Would it cause undue stress pr problems to tires already mounted if you took them off and put them on new rims? I've always been curious about this.

ive done it before with no issues. my tires were still pretty new so switching them to different wheels was still worth it.

there were several times where i'd get like a nail or something in my tire and they'd take the tire off to put the patch on the inside, again no issues.

as long as the tires are still good, u shouldn't have a problem.

That's because Allan usually has like 6 sets of wheels in his garage at any given time

Seriously, the only time it might be an issue is with very low profile tires because the sidewall is smaller and that's what takes the most pressure during mounting. Another factor is to make sure you get them switched at someplace reputable. Folks like the monkeys that work at Pep Boys will pull the crap out of your tires and stress them unnecessarily if they don't know what they're doing.
