JDM Aero Grille

Hi,

Is this grille easy to install on the US model '03 8g? Or should it be fixed only after getting the JDM heads as well? Will any modifications be required? Has anyone done this before?

you cannot install this on your '03 seeing as the middle "nose" of your bumper gets in the way. The only way would be to get a 99-01 front bumper.

Also, if you were to install this, it would be considerably shorter than the 99-01 grill, so there would be a gap between the headlights, so it would only look good with JDM heads

you have this bumper. That middle piece gets in the way

Also i forgot to mention this, but I believe the mounting tabs on the JDM grill are in different places

Thanks for the very descriptive answer, yeah I completely forgot about the middle "nose" that the 03 has from the bumper that rides up to the grille. Have to look for a different setup then.

you could cut the nose out and make one 8p

cutting out the nose would require fiberglassing the chunk of bumper that is missing

yea the 03 nose sucks, cant have any nice grills. 99-01 FTW!!

just do a whole jdm front end conversion. thats what I did with my 03

cut the nose be different.. i was gunna mess aroudn with my old usdm bumper b4 my car goes in for paint

Yeah cut the nose off, the grill will sit on top of the area that cut off and would not be noticeable.
