Is this what i want for my 6cyl 8g. I am looking for something with a nice low deep tone not loud and obnoxiuos. I want to stick with magnaflow and have been told i need something kinda short. would this work for me?

the inlet and outlet for that muffler are smaller than the factory piping.

I agree that Magnaflow is the way to go for your V6. I disagree that you need to go with something short like the one on ebay you posted. The space on an 8G for the muffler is pretty large. I have a full sized Magnaflow and it fits just fine.

As far as piping size, you want a 2 1/4 inlet, which will match your stock piping

Also its better to get a muffler with offset piping, its easier to mount up.
