View Full Version : Question about whats under your carpet

Alright well im almost gettin to the point of fixing this AC from leakin anymore. so once i get it fixed i plan replacin my carpet, but i wanna keep the heat and sound from comin threw the carpet. is dynomat or whatever yall use (mat) you use for the bass good to use? i only want to put it on the driver & passanger floor area, its mainly the heat i wanna keep out.

dynomat is an insolator so it would hel yes...in the winter it will also keep the heat in as well and road noise down...it is heavy though especially doing the whole floor

dynamat is great to reduce road noise and block heat I have it all over my car roof trunk doors floor and so on

well i do a lot driving and i get tired of the noise, and i have kids to when i had my screens it would suck cause i would have to turn the volume up to be able to heard the movies.yeah its mainly the floor areas i wanna cover.

There's some on there already, but you can add more if you like. It will make your ride heavier though.

even tho its heavy, is it worth it? im just tryin to get my g to look, sound and feel good. i plan on not doin any proformance on this car only the 5spd swap.

i have about 100-120 sqft of sound deadening material and i think it weighed in the rang of 50-70 lbs. that's just an estimate from me carrying it.

there are other typed of sound deadening material out there besides dynomat that will do the same job. for example, quiet car, hush mat, fat mat, brown bread, etc.

as far as if it is worth it, definitely. i only have my trunk done right now and it helps a lot. it will help with the sound a lot. i would also put it over the holes i your doors as well.

Agreed. Theres also the kind that you can spray on. Do you sell Dynomat??

a lot of people use the spray/paint form on top of the mat form. we do sell dynomat at work, but not in the bulk sizes unfortunately.
