idle stalling

When I disconnect my battery and reconnect it, my car stalls for about the first 10 miles of start and stop driving. If I'm at a light in drive my car stalls out and I have to put it in neutral and start it back up. After a while it will stop doing that. Anyone know what this means?

it means you have an adaptation concern

when i disconnected my battery a few months ago when i was putting my new system in, it did that briefly, but hasn't done it ever since. i believe what you need to do is drive 55 mpg for about 30 min or something like that after you reconnect so the ecu can relearn. with me, i had to drive about 45 miles to work, so that's what did it for me. it just stalled getting to the highway. so only that one day was there that issue
