It all depends on the maaco, ive seen amazing paint jobs from maaco, where it never peeled or anything. Ive also seen the car come out and the paint was crap and the windows were painted. So it all depends on which one you go to.

yea they are independantly owned so each shop varies...you will have to go to one near you and check out thier work...if its for a beater though that you just want to look ok then it really doesnt matter if the paint is flawless

Well, I recently did a Maaco paint job to fix up my car after I bought it (that was all I could afford). Here's a link if you want to see pictures of before, during and after -

my bro wasnt satisfied with his the first time so he took his 3000gt back and they repainted it cost free. turned out nice the second time. No peeling or chips. 90% satisfaction

Maaco is hit or miss...it depends on the individual Maaco shop. My sisters ex boyfriend that owns a EG hatchback got his painted at Maaco. He went to one that had a good reputation locally for their work. He got the base coat clear coat..not the enamel crap and his car came out really nice. This was 5 years ago when he got it painted, but saw his car a few months ago and it still looks real good.

Peano is probably the best example here on the TGC of his luck with Maaco since his paint job is several years old and still looks good!

Well, mine in the link I posted was a Signature paint job, believe me, don't go for anything less than signature, it costs you a few 100 more but the quality is much better. I saw the same Maaco that did an Ambassador paint job and there was not gloss or shine at all. Single stage never works for paint I believe, at least 2 stage is a little better.

Is signature a double stage bc cc job as well?

My cousin had his outlander painted from Maaco and all I can say is they sucks on doing it. They painted the car w/ out having the dusts removed from the surface! So after painting all the dusts are in there like small pimples..

No, signature is not a couple of thousand, it's only about 799-899 for the paint job, the body work if you look at the amount of body work and paint cost me $1500 in total.
