Hey was guys, I just got my Mugen lip delivered.

Im not sure if I should color match it or leave it black.

Also, for all the Members that have a Lip Installed, how did you go about trimming it? I went to a shop today to get a Quote in how much it would be to get it put on and painted, they said $300 bucks. I think thats a little too much. How did you guys do it or how much did you pay?

Let me know.

NO!!!! Stop telling the dude crap Pete. INstall the lip like the tutorial says. In my opinion you should leave it black to match your grill

I think upside down looks good as well

i'd install it, take it off, paint it and then put it back on. no use in painting it first and then install it if you're gonna have to modify the lip as part of the install.

Its already cracked.

and $300 to get it modified to fit, painted, and installed, is not a bad price at all.

It depends on what you wanna do with the rest of your car, I have mine waiting in the garage waiting for installation, but I'm gonna paint mine gunmetal cuz it'll flow with my wheels, grill, blacked out headlights, and soon to be cf hood and trunk. If you end up painting your grill white, paint the lip white too, if not, leave it black.

color match it. do it urself, use the 300 bucks buy a heat gun and a dremel and get paint mixed in a can. Oh yeah a case of beer too!

leave it black, it will flow wth your grill so much better, and black out your headlights as well

Actually he wasnt being sarcastic since some people have done it.

It's been done, but imho, it looks like shit, and I'm pretty sure a lot of people share that opinion.

Actually he wasnt being sarcastic since some people have done it.

One person has done it, and it was done mistakenly. But if that suites your taste then go right ahead.

It doesnt look that bad but....it kinda defeats the purpose of getting the lip in the first place especially if you plan to add side skirts in the future...

Yup $300 is great considering they have to fit, refit, finalize, paint, and install.

will this lip fit fairly well on an Old style vr4 bumper?

i was really thinking about that.... might look pretty decent.. fitting? if you're good with fiber glass, anything will fit.
