for those that havent seen the vip-style thread, the work is finally done.

slammed on cut progress springs: free from the homie NOKCY21
ingalls camber kits maxed out for negative camber: bout a $100
and the wheels are xxr 512 18x8 +15 on all four: $460
tires are 205/40/18: $280
rear fenders shaved almost all the way down
and 8mm spacers on the rears :$30

TOTAL: $870 labor was all done by me

Just saying, if the rears didnt have spacers, you wouldnt have to have such negative camber in order to clear the fenders. You should try taking out the spacers, back out the camber, and see how flush it will sit. I bet it will be pretty close.

Im not a big fan of big negative camber on fwd vehicles.

UPDATE:

took my lex into the shop to see why shes been leaking oil for the past 2 weeks, and its the oil pan. problem is the lexus has 2 of them and the leaking 1 is the upper pan. in order to reseal it they have to pull the motor. so now my moneys going to that, have to hold back on painting the galant for a minute. if you guys still have that so cal meet ill still roll though.

oh i put the facelift grill on and it looks way better

That is correct, BUT in cases of extreme camber you will also have faster tire wear on the inside shoulders.

the only way i can get good money is to sell the car as is with all of the publications its been in. i would even give all the trophies ive won with it. doubt i would sell it. buddy is selling his and its almost exactly like mine minus the interior work and custom trunk setup. he was asking 25k but idk if hes got any offers. i would sell mine for less and the car has more. but with the economy idk who would buy.

Toyota Soarer is the Lexus SC series here in the states, because there's no lexus in Japan, the engines offered were different, but the bodystyle was basically identical.

I just know that a "Lexus" as nothig more than a Toyota with leather(lol) and a couple more electronic features(lol) because honestly...that's all it really is. And i expressed my disagreement with you that VIPtint should ditch his Galant(which he Obviously has a warm spot for, like myself, and most of us on this forum). I'm loyal to Mitsu's because they also make good cars and i've had mine for 9 years and counting without stalling once. So i can disagree that he should ditch his "luxury" GS over the "regular" galant because to me a decked-out 8th gen Galant is sexier than a GS. And thats what most of us are here on this Galant forum for: to make our Galants the nicest they can be. So he should keep the G and ditch the GS! there..

Hmmm not feeling the rear stance on that, dont get me wrong I love camber, I used to run VW`s with silly camber at the rear.
It just doesnt sit right for my personal taste of Galants, you might also end up going through rear wheel bearings quickly as they dont like that

I think I will reserve full judgement untill its painted and finished, but for me at the moment I am going to say I dont really like it personally, but it is nice to see someone doing something different from the norm with a Galant, so I do appreciate that
