8G Steering Wheel, Same as 7G

I guess the 2nd half of the 7Gs came with this style steering wheel? I was told by a few ppl that this was not true?

ive seen a few 7gs with our steering wheel. could also be like the 1996 "8g" galant

they may look the same, which as i am looking at the 2 pics now and dont see a difference... although im not certain if they are by any means... just because they look alike does not mean that the spline, airbag assembly/ connector etc are the same

i can test fit one in the yard. but i think they are the same
