So I am about to buy these rims. Here are the specs.
Offset: +42mm
Backspacing: 5.86"
Bolt Pattern: 5-114
215/40-18

My question is would this cause any problems when i lower it with the megan coilover damper kit street series.

thanks

You're gonna have a pretty narrow tire, you'll have to roll the fenders, but after you roll them it should sit great with no rubbing.

The correct tire size (closest to stock spec) is 225 40 18

why would you say he has to roll the fenders? he hasn't told us the rim width yet but the 215 tire should give us a clue that he probably won't have to roll anything at +42 offset.

ok just looked at the sizing chart for that wheel (ENKEI WD-M)... in 18" that wheel comes in 3 widths w/ +42mm offset: 7.5, 8.5, and 9.5. i seriously doubt anyone mounted 215 on the 8.5 or 9.5 (unless they were stretched for poke)... so that leaves 18x7.5 +42.

18x7.5 +42 will fit dropped up to 3" w/ no clearance issues.

however, you should change your tires to 225/40r18.

If I changed tire tire size to 225. would i then have to roll the fenders

no. 18x7.5 +42 w/ 225/40r18 will not need fender rolling even if you drop deep and camber correct. are you dropped btw? if you do drop over 1.5" u should camber correct the rear to keep your rear tires from having uneven wear. u shouldn't rub at all (unless you slam past 3" AND correct camber, then you might have to roll your fenders).
