Electrical Problem

hey guys, weird thing is happening all of a sudden, started 2 nights ago, when i press on my brakes, my parking lights turn on very dim, and when i release it, they are off....now when i turn on my parking lights, everything lights up, brake lights, spoiler brake light, and parking lights, its really bothering the shit outta me, cuz when i drive at night it looks like im braking all the time :(

any ideas?

(BTW, when i remote start my car it triggers as if im pressing the brakes and the car wont start remotely....could it be an alarm problem thats causing it?)

well it could be the brake switch.. at least thats what i was thinking till you mentioned the alarm... The braKe switch is lunder the brake pedel... it may be broken. Wait... do your brake lights stay on even after you turn off your lights?

i fixed this problem, it was a short in my tail light harness...parking light wire grounded off brake wire and caused it to jump over when i pressed the brakes or turned on the parking lights.
