I just finished mocking up the fogs to fit in my bumper. I must say, they are a really good fit, there is very little trimming to be done, and the projectors provide a ton more light. Once I get everything squared away tomorrow, I will post pics. On a scale of 1-10, this is definitely a 2-3, not hard at all.

I always wondered about the fogs in the stock bumper. Good to know that they fit pretty well. Can't wait for the pics.

which fogs? hmmm....

Yeah, when I took off the stock fogs and housings, I was like, shit, how am I going to mount these, but I figured it out, two of the screws line up with the holes in the bumper, I might fab up a small bracket out of sheetmetal to line another hole up. Now I just have to figure how much I have to cut the covers that go over the fogs, and cut some spots in the bumper to mount them up.

The ones that usually go on the old style vr4 bumper, the small projector ones.

Ok, so the passenger side is mounted up completely, the driver's side I still have some sanding and dremeling to do before it bolts up, the covers are probably gonna go on tomorrow, I'm done for today though cuz I have the flu.
Here's some pics:

I wonder if those fogs would fit a Cyber 1 nicely? Anyone ever tried that? I'm still trying to figure out which fogs to get! :)

I know, I'm not done yet, I'm gonna mod the grills that came with it.

Alexey, I don't think they'd be a good fit cuz they are not round.

I think thats not how they sit in my JDM bumper, I think you need to turn them to be right position. But I'm not 100% sure, I have to recheck them.

They probably aren't, I just made sure that the projector points straight, we'll see how it looks once I put the grills on them.

Exactly. Cyber 1 fog openings are oval :) Is there any way you can measure the actual fogs for me? The width and the height? Thanks... :)

greddy
10-25-2008, 06:07 PM
So you wanna know the dimension of the actual oval part of the fog, or the entire housing?

greddy

So I was able to cut the fog covers to fit the openings, I like the way it sits, I got one side mocked up, I'm gonna fiberglass it into place once I cut the other side to fit and finish my lip project, and then have the shop paint just the front bumper so it doesn't look ridiculous. here are some pics, I'm thinking I'm gonna have the fog covers painted gunmetal.

I'm gonna paint them gunmetal to match my grill and the carbon fiber that I'll be getting.

Greddy,
I would need the measurements of the actual fogs, since I need to figure out if they'd fit the openings on my bumper.

I've decided for now at least, to just glue the covers to the actual fog housing until I decide what I'm gonna do for a front lip, then I'll break out the FG. The covers are gonna be painted black for now, I may color match in the future. They should be on this coming weekend.

So I got the covers on, two screws on one side of the covers, and glue on the inner ends for now until I FG it all once my lip project is done. I know there is excess glue, it will be sanded down tomorrow. Let me know what you think. And yes, I know my front bumper is scratched to shit, it will be repaired and painted once all the little projects are completed.

Yeah, they are spendy, I got lucky and found a set from a former TGC member on ebay who wrecked their car before getting to put the lights one, I payed 65 shipped.
