Here's a link to the reverse indiglo gauges on ebay like the ones Shylynn and some others have... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...item=1852447291 ('http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1852447291')

These are the search results on "Galant gauges" on ebay: http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?M...y=galant+gauges ('http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?MfcISAPICommand=GetResult&ht=1&SortProperty=MetaEndSort&query=galant+gauges')
Using "galant gauge" without the "s" will give you some more results too.
Simple...

I see others post URL's, so here goes

Click on this http://www.procarparts.com/store/displayca...ndiglo%20Gauges ('http://www.procarparts.com/store/displaycategoryproduct.cfm?startrow=17&pcategory=Indiglo%20Gauges&psubcategory=Mitsubishi%20Indiglo%20Gauges')

I did go to ebay, but they just didn't seem as nice as this one, but thats my opinion.

Nice post. I don't like the ones on ebay either, but to each their own. I also don't like the non-reverse gauges because they are too bright. Almost like you don't need any other interior lighting, which to me is distracting. But I guess I'll know more when I receive my GDI gauges...

I can't speak for quality because I haven't owned either yet, but I'm sure you are taking a much bigger risk getting them off ebay. It's best to stick with those that have gotten good reviews from users here at TGC.

The difference between the Halo's (and the GDI's) is that they are reverse indiglo gauges and the Galant one's from procar are regular indiglo. The difference can be seen on the procar page between the ones available for the Galant and the ones they call "EURO REVERSE INDIGLO GAUGES" for the eclipse.

There is no difference installation wise... as far as I know, unless you have to remove the needles (dangerous) for the procar gauges, but I don't think you have to.

... and the Halo's off ebay have gotten good reviews so far, I am speaking more towards the regular indiglo gauges off ebay. I believe the Halo's actually come with a 90 day warranty.

Me and Jennifer (a.k.a N.H.GalantLadie) where one of the first people to get the halo gauges. they install just like the indiglos, you do not need to remove ur needles, and they come with instructions, i just followed bgrs tutorial,

i live these guages and have gotten nothing but complaments from friends and family, my fiance wants to try and find some for his truck now.

here are pics of the halos install courtesy of Jennifer

Well, I recieved my guages last week and unfortunatly, they sent the wrong ones. I contacted the store and they are sending me the correct guages and a return shipping label for the wrong set together, which is much appreciated. I hope to get them by this friday because I'm going on vacation and don't them to sit outside on the front porch, wish me luck...

ok yea the tutorial is down. i shouild ask bgr for a copy but i took apart my cluster and broke it etc etc so many times that i know how to do it from the top of my head.

first of all. sit down in the drivers seat and note the location of the gauges. where the needles are sitting and how everything looks.

now the cluster has that black shroud around it. the one with the dimemr knob. well if u follow that around to where the steering wheel is, on the top there are two phillips head screws there. take em out. remove the shroud, and don't forget to remove the plug for the dimmer switch. i have a scanner built into mine so i just pushed mine to the side.

now u can see that there are 4 brass colored phillips head screws holding the cluster in. remove those. be careful, they can be easy to lose

now pull the cluster out slowly. unplug the harness from the back of the left side and then the one on the right side. remember there are two harnesses.

once u got the whole cluster out. go to a nice work table. don't do it on the driveway while ur brother is having a basketball game like me. it runs smoother if u do it on a clear table with no distractions.

slowly remove the clear plastic covering. it just clips on. u can see. then the gauge bezel.

there are screws that hold in the gauge faces. take them out. do each gauge one by one. do not remove the needle. slip on the guages. if you have some use some thin double stick tape. now put back the screws and tighten them til they are tight. then back em out like half to a full turn so u don't damage the gauge.

do that for each gauge. reassable the cluster and remount it into the car.

connect all the wiring for the ballast and the control. mount those.

ok this is where it gets shady. i think this is how u do it if im wrong tell me and imma try to fix it. not my fault if something blows up haha. ok the wires should be pre stripped if not. strip the ends. now stick the wire into the back of the plug for the dimmer knob. black to black i think and red to green i recall. just shove it up there. and tape it down. some say use wire taps but those can become faulty. then test to see if it works. if everything works just put everythign else back the way it was...and enjoy
