Well I spent the last week taking off my back seats and had them cleaned. So I decided that i would try and reduce the vibrations in my back seats and trunk. I went to lowes and bought 3 rolls of Peel N Seal, a heat gun, a roller, and Great Stuff. After everything was said and done I received my replacemnt Inf Kappa 6X9 put those on too. I'm happy with the results. It really works...

Hey man... I love the work. The idea is great. How much weight did it add would you say? Also... Here is a fair warning. Be prepared to have to buy a new trunk. That great stuff is some good shit but it will probably keep expanding for months because it hasnt cured yet and it will start to swell up and put ripples in your trunk. My buddy did his trunk like that in his mustang and he regrets it.

Why on gods green earth would you ever put "Great Stuff" in your car? Well def keep us posted as to how it works out. Id keep a close eye on it though. Ive never thought of using it, but hey, maybe your onto something innovative. Seriously.

i just weighed my roll of peel and seal and it came out to 3.5lbs for a 6"x25' roll. thats in all the original packaging with the cardboard roller in the middle like paper towel rolls. so im guessing just the adhesive and aluminum itself would be about 3lbs which is not bad at all if your worried about weight

Im sure its the same thickness. All it is is a water barrier not a sound barrier lol. I used to do carpentry and ive seen many different brands of the shit and it was all about 1/32-1/16.

im using the peel and seal to stop vibrations by adding mass to the long flat areas of the car... the sound deadening will come from layers of foam layed over the the peal and seal after the smell has gone away lol
