problem with main computer

Has anyone had there main computer go out or needed to be cleaned? my car has a computer problem just dont know how i should check what exactly it is.

its something with the computer or a short in my wires somewhere in the car

we got it. Some how my main fuse box wires in the engine bay came loose. but my engine light is on bcs i fried my catylatic convertor.
