New Galant Es 2000 Need Help

Hi, everyone I just want to say you have a great site here. Anyway I bought a 2000 Es v4 Galant (I know its all I could afford). I want to make some upgrades in performance and appearance. First, I've read a lot of posts here aboust people using performance exhaust systems, headers etc... I've searched the internet and a lot of these things aren't available for galant. I remember years ago chrysler and mitsubishi used similar parts because they were built in the same factory or something. Anyway my point is are some of you guys using equipment that might go on an eclipse or another model? Any help you can give me would be great. Second, could some of you perhaps give me a list of some of the upgrades I should think about? Thanks again.

To atleast answer your question about sharing parts, the 3G (2000-2003) Eclipses share many parts with the 8G (1999-2003) Galants. The V6 engines in both are exactly the same as are the I4 engines. The difference with the Eclipse is the tranny since the Galant doesn't come with a manual or sport tranny. The suspension is almost identical between the two cars as well. These are the parts I have from an Eclipse:

2000 Eclipse Spyder stock front strut bar
3G Eclipse V6 AEM cold air intake
3G Eclipse rear KYB AGX shocks
