Looks clean. Not to sound noobish but i really have no experience in the steering wheel department but do you feel a difference in the 2g wheel compared to 7g? Or is it for primarily looks (which id presume)

Well...I did it because I needed a new steering wheel since the previous owner of the original one did a number on it and the material was coming off.

I found a sweet deal on a 2g steering wheel so I went a head and bought it and see if it fit and it did. The biggest difference that was purely a surprise is the weight difference between the 7g and 2g steering wheel. The 2g is MUCH lighter.

If you click on the tutorial link, I have pictures of why the 7g steering wheel is soo much heavier.

Oh alright, thanks! Yeah i took a look at the tutorial, great job! I'm sure the 8g's wheel is even bulkier haha.

is there armour all on your leather? or is it just polished completely smooth from hands?
i'd strip the oils out of that wheel with citrus degreaser then recondition it with some megaurs.
get rid of all the nasty from someone elses hands.

I degreased and sanitized the steering wheel, then applied some of the meguiars leather conditioner stuff which made it shiny from the pics. Also the previous owner smoothed out the leather a little too.
