Heater to A/C rattle

Has anyone had your Galant make a rattling noise when turning to A/C to heat and Back?
My Galant has been doing it for a Year now, and has now stop switching at all.
I'm guessing there is a gear slipping that move the damper.
Any posts from the past or ideas on how to fix?

I've tried the search forms, and can find only heatercore problems.
If you know of a post that would help me, that would be great.
