2007 key for 2004 car

I was wondering if anyone knew if the key from a 2007 galant with the remote built into the key will work for a 2004 galant.

it wont work, unless u change the whole locking system to an 07+ which by then its not really worth it....

was thinking about getting an 07 key and gutting it an putting my key an chip in with it..could be done..

but may take awhile an couple of keys! lol

at this point i could use any key..such as a vw with the flip key an see how that goes..or even a universal one on ebay..maybe a tl one

at that point why not convert it to a push button start...lol
