removing trunk hinges

What i want to know is if the trunk hinges can be removed.. from the bottom it looks like a permanent bolt is holding it but i am interested in either removing it completely or moving it down with washers or whatever. I have not removed the rear deck so i dunno what it looks like. Thanks for any help in advance
