RX8 Wheels on an 8G? I know I have seen it?

I know that I have seen pics of RX8 wheels on a black 8G on here, but I can't seem to find the pics that I am looking for. Anybody have pics of an 8G with these wheels? Anybody know if they rub in the rear or when turning?

Yeap, that is definitely the one I was thinking of. I wish there were more pics of the side view. So now I know they look good, and the bolt pattern is the same 5X114.3mm. Does anybody know if they rub anywhere? Did he use any spacers?

You should pm him, but I think the tire size he used was a little big and it was super close to the strut, he doesn't have those on his car, they were just a test fit. Also, are you on springs/struts or on coilovers, cuz if you're on coilovers, you shouldn't have any problems fitting them.

Good plan, I will shoot a PM to him. As for the me, sadly, I am on springs and struts. I am not cool enough for coilovers yet ;) I have too many projects, so I need to pick and choose the ones I dump money into.

Anybody else on RX8 wheels out there?

The wheels fit fine, it is just the tire size from the RX8 that doesn't work for our cars.

You could get the RX8 wheels (probably for cheap too from a RX8 club or ebay) and use 225/40-18s or even 235/40-18s (with rolled fenders).

Well I guess you have figured out my game plan then. :) I just wanted to double check everything before spending a few hundred bucks.

06' mazda 3 wheels will work better with the tires they come with.

205-50-17 and they look very similar too

Somebody has a bodega beige G on Rx8 wheels but they are 17 inchers that came on the base RX8 Model, I'll try to find the pics.

i have a mazda 3 they are nice, but not as wide as the rx8's. better fitment option

here is what they look like. i don't know of anybody with them on an 8G. this is just so you can see how simillar they are to rx8 wheels

the mazda3 wheels fit better in terms of rubbing but looks wise i think the rx8 wheels are better. what i love most about the 8 wheels that u dont get with the 3 is the curve in at the lug nuts. just like the newer style 350z wheels which i am in the process of acquiring. the car did rub a little on hard turns in the front and it chewed away the plastic and on really bouncy roads but a stiffer suspension would get rid of that since im on GR2's. damn sure looked good.

i have two sets of 8mm spacers. one has always been on the rx8 and one has always been on my car. i dont know if i left them on my car when we swapped but i know they were on the rx8. they more than likely were on the car
