im doing the ecu swap soon and i have most of what i need. now the big question is do i have to change 2 a 4g63t throttle body or is there some way to use my stock throttle body?

i also planned on staying sohc and keeping the distributor 4 now will i run into any problems with this??

any help or advice is much apreciated. thanks

you're stock throttle body will bolt right up to any of the 4g6x manifolds.
I don't see any reason why you'd have to change it other than perhaps a different order to the coils within the IAC.... but that could easily be corrected by switching a couple wires(if its even neccesary)

although i'd rather have a 60mm throttle from a 94 GS or a 1g 4g63

im asking because the repinning the ecu connectors tutorial says u need the throttle body and coils and stuff.. i was just wondering if i really need all that stuff and if i only need some of it.. cuz i have some of it like the injectors, resistor pack and stuff

when you setting this up hit me up...

well the 7g sohc iac and the dohc iac's are actually different.
however they work exactly the same. there are 4 coils. and depending on which coils are energized at the moment... it controls where the pintle is located, and thus controls how much air can bypass the throttle plate.

if the coils are wired in a different order, then using the sohc iac w/ a dohc ecu... may cause idle issues.
unless you can insure that the coils are wired up in the proper order.

I don't even use an IAC. I bought a blockoff plate a long time ago and enjoy my perfect idle.

hmm ill probably swap 2 a 1g throttle body to make sure all the wires are correct.. thanks 4 thelp stunr

xxl.. im starting this som etime after im done with the 240

thats just one of the cheapest mods to make little more power. and id reccomend the block off plate. I may need to physicaly hold the gas pedal for a couple of minutes, but its worth it.

so i will go 2 the 1g trottle body and get the block off plate.. now the other issue is can i run everything else the same or do i have 2 modify for the diffterent ignition like coil packs and such

edit: i found a GS throttle body near me and should that wire right up with the 2g ecu and ill still get the block off plate as well

so im either getting a GS throttle body or the 1g nt 60mm one.. now for the block off plate the only one i can find is for the 1g.. will that also work on the GS throttle body?

All 1g Dohc throttle bodies have the same FIAV, so yes it will work

ok so i got a 1g throttle body.. now the only thing he kept from it was the tps and i was wondering if i could use my tps on this throttle body.. if not ill pick one up

look at TPS, if it has 4 pin you can use it with galants harness. if it has 3 pins then youll have to swap it

its a 3 pin tps on the 1g throttle body

not always, but yeah youll have to swap it

mko is that for the TPS? and i looked at jips tutorial.. im gonna boost what i have n ow for my preliminary run the build the head over the next year or so and then build it and slap on a 20g or an 18g depends if its still my daily

edit: i mean build my 2g head over the next year or so

after a little research i found that when 2gs do the 1g throttle bodt swap they keep their tps.. i was wondering if our tps is compatible as well
