Trying to customize my 03 Galant

I am so happy i found this forum..anywho i have an 03 Galant im not sure where to begin i like the color of it alreafy so i was just going to get it painted the exact same color..I want to know what kind of rims would look nice on it nothing too pricey though maybe between 1000-1300 ..I didnt want to get any tint cause i think it will thow it off cause of the color ...i was thinking about a nice body kit though ..I am a female so i don't reallt want that race car look and i wanted to add a spoiler.. Help me PLease ! here are some pics

First off Welcome and a happy new year. The first mod everyone is going to tell you to do is clear your corners. Then get your rims and then drop the car, instead of a body kit try going JDM it looks a whole better imo.

as far as going with a body kit or going jdm, just do what you like... everyone on this site will try to convince you to go jdm.. but remember its your car, do what you like.

Welcome,,,let me first say that the search button is your most helpful tool and many mambers are going to tell you to use it as much as you can. As for a spoiler,,have you checked into the factory spoiler,,it looks quite nice to me and I'm thinking of getting one for my "03" as well. There are loads of bodykits you can choose from, and rims as well,,,,,just look around,,,it's all about what you like. And welcome again.
EDIT: tint will not throw off your car,,,and cleared corners will look good with that color...CLEAN,,know what I mean.

yeah really, after driving my gf's dads durango without front window tint (driver/passenger) and my gf's car with no tint at all, i NEEEED tint. the sun is too damn bright at times and i find the tint to make my driving safer. mine is only 35% and really light, but it helps.

Welcome to TGC! :) Well to start off $1000-1300 is a good amount of money for rims. You could find some gently used rims on craigslist or eBay for half that with tires. Or if your set on new ones be sure to spend it wisely. Also Dont be peer pressured here into JDM parts. Granted it looks nice, but do what it is you like.

Next, looks like your bumper is the only thing that needs painting from your pix. So just paint that and have the car detailed. It'll look good as new.
Tint is a must and would look AWESOME! LOL!
If you dont want to look "racer" then dont get a body kit, bcz then you will. Spoilers are cool too:

I am sooo loving that Galant..I hate my bumper its too darn plain and isn't saying much...thinking about it my car really doesnt need an overall paint job in the back there is a chip a paint thats off and minor scratches and dings on the door..Good looking out that would save me some money..I want input on how you think black rims would look..my car isn't "white" is like a cream or a pearl color ....

black rims look racer ish to me. I like to be able to see a tyre around a rim but you cant with black wheels. black rims with chrome lips are sexy!

Like he said its dover white pearl. Thats the color of my car as well. To give you an idea... my rims are gun metal gray with a chrome lip. Also I have 35% tint.

JDM look is always nice for our Galants, not to much at all. Dont put a crazy body kit on the car cuz than itll look like a ricer. Keep it simple, vr4 front bumper, headlights, and grill. Better looking than what we have in the US, get the car lowerd, and find some really nice rims. As far as rims go I cant tell you what you should get, you gatta look around and see what you like. As far as tinting goes, I think you should tint you windows, it does nice with the pearl white look. The best thing to do, is try to keep the car in good shape, b/c most people I see really screw up the galants and they start to really look like shit.

Thank you all for your input..YAY some Texas peeps ..thats what's up! @ Ricky db i will keep in touch...I haven't done anything yet to the G... Im still trying to caluculate how much all of this is going to cost me... So far i was thinking about getting a vrg lip, vr4 skirts, and a spoiler, throw on some tint and i wanted some black rims with a chrome lip, preferably 18's... I did want to drop but our roads here are CRAP! I have to get someone to put all this stuff on for me so i now its going to cost a grip..The total cost im looking to spend total for all this is $2500.00 ..Do you guys think this can all be done for 2500.. Im def. going to need some help on this one..Ricky get ready!! lol ..oh yeah 00 galant guy..I;m loving your G it looks real nice..I may have to steal your look :) as a matter fact just looking at is is basically the overall look i was going for anyways..lol well what do ya know...

from experience 18s without dropping a G may make the monster gap we have look bigger since the tire sidewall is so short. you may like how 17s look with the taller sidewalls and the gap. the thing you also need to take into account with getting the vrg lip spoiler and the skirts is paint, automotive paint can be very expensive unless you know someone so take that into account when you think about prices Im sure some of the members can help you find a good place in tx to get a quality paint job for a decent price

also if you plan on tinting know that our windows are already tinted 8% darker then clear so take that into account if you want to obey the tinting laws somewhat.

Get Wheels, Dump it like (2-3 inch drop minimum), put tint, and learn to avoid potholes. Thought you Texans already knew how to swerve??? Welcome btw!
