Here is a quick tutorial on how to disable your day time running lights

Pretty much a 3 step process

1) open the fuse box under the hood

2) pop off the red box inside the fuse box (i believe new models have a black box or yellow)

3) bend the pin slightly, make sure you u bend the right one... " pic is over exaggerated fyi "

will that work to disable the DRL's on all models or do you think it will be different for the 4 cylinder models?

Should be the same for 4s and 6s.

Works like a charm took me 3 minutes hardest part was unlocking the car to pop the hood if that says anything about the ease of this job

if that doesn't work with other models you can just buy a anti flicker/canceller.

How did you bend it? I just did this 2 minutes ago, and mine are still on. I bent it both ways, but, if I bend the pin towards the middle (inside), it won't close all the way, so I know that wont work, so I just bent it towards the outside and it closed and all that, so I don't know what I did wrong. Seriously though, how could I have done this wrong lol?

Ok that does make sense then just wondered I did hid conversion on my 8 g but obviously nor drls. It is a conundrum cause I wouldn't want my hid always on but they use less power than the regular headlights, but replacing a ballast or some overheated wiring might happen so I understand it. Look into led for the rest of your lights I think as of now only my turn signals are still regular lights all interior/exterior are leds

Yeah, that's pretty much how my car is, but I also don't want drls because I feel dumb having my lights on during broad daylight, and I also answered my own question earlier.

ALL light but the HIDs are LEDs on my car.

I also did not want to have the DRL on when I had to run code in the car. It they take away from the LEDs and strobes.

I do have one question about doing this, does it turn off the license plate light? I just noticed mine wasn't on a second ago, so I was wondering if anyone could tell me if their license plate light is on that have done this? Maybe it's just bad timing for it to not turn on, even though it's a brand new led light so it should work still.

No it should not effect it.

Alright, I'll take your word for it, but that is just damn good timing then. I guess I gotta get a new light though, but thanks for your quick response, I appreciate it.
