I really like the projectors that Astig made for the 8g's but I am wondering if it would work for a 7g? The main difference (besides the measurements) is that the headlights on ours have a pattern to the cover (the 8g's are clear and clean).

Would it look like dog ish if I went ahead and did it with the textured headlights?

I can't grind it down and make it smooth either...that would just make them frosted looking.

I have an extra set of headlights that I am using so it is no big deal if it takes time.

i see it being possible. with a lil bit of imagination and a whole lots of patience i can see u doing it. uhm as for the textured inside, u possibly can grind it down and make it semi smooth. then you'll have that frosted finish. but if u keep sanding and gradually go to a super smooth abrasive you can possibly achieve a clear finish.

yeah the frosted look sucks. I am testing on my ambers to see how the smoothing would go.

So far I've grinded them smooth, then sanded them smoother. I think it is going to take a polishing job to get it right.

you can definatly make textured headlights nice, u gotta use some special polish they have out there that clear it up, i saw it on Dream Car Garage

Try a can of metalcast on the chrome plastic on the inside of the headlights, you'll love the look it gives.

I'm about 1/2 done with my headlight project, just have to wait a week for the UV LED's to show up so I can finish the other part https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif
