Are you talking about the Fender Liner? (#7)

http://www.trademotion.com/schematics/6/6241105.gif

it's about $35 from the dealer per side

Check out local junk yards or your local dealer.

Otherwise, I highly recommend: http://www.donherring.com/Parts.aspx

ya this is what he is talking about i had to buy a replacement too... but on another note i was told i had to buy the same type of piece that would go under the front of the whole bumper and protect such part as the harmonic balancer (according to my mechanic) but i dont recall there ever being a piece there... does any body know about this ??

its super cheap, like $25 at the dealer and it includes all new hardware. I replaced mine recently when I did the paintjob.

yeah but it doesnt cover the whole front like your thinking

some cars have them its called an undershield or undercover. I think our cars from the factory have this small one under there but it doesnt have much of a function. I havent had a stock bumper in so long I cant remember what was on there.

well, it depends. Do you want a dirty engine bay? If you don't then the fender lining will keep that from happening. and also, someone correct me, if you don't use the fender lining wouldn't the wire harnesses for the corners be exposed? Atleast that's how the USDM unibody is. Cuz I remember when I was installing my side markers the wiring harness for the corners, headlights, etc. run through that part of the apron. So it doesnt just protect your engine bay, it also protects everything that is ran throught the apron.
