what is the standard life of a tranny when should i be worried about my 8g tranny im at 131500 2003 dove from cali to ny

im over 205k on my 02 and tranny has no problems. just dont shift gears like its a manual and itll last awhile

As long as you treat it right, it'll last you a long time.. Some members don't make it that far mileage wise..

Replace and flush the a/t fluid when needed to and no abusive treatment of the tranny like "shifting like a m/t" and it should last you awhile. I see that you have accuminalated 131k of milage on your 8g and already...your tranny has lasted alot more that MOST transmissions in any car out there in the roads.
