Has anyone placed a gps or some sort of navigation/touch screen in this part?

i have my sirius unit mounted there, personally its an ok location but you cant really look down all the time so i wouldnt think it would be a great spot for a nav screen where you would have to look at it even more. it wouold also have to be a rather small screen shich wouldnt be all that great for navi

awful location for any screen that you have to look at while driving... too low.

Very low, but i believe that Garmins can fit in there, the new ones have about a 2.5in screen and im sure you can make a mount or w/e that can hold the GPS. IMO i wouldnt mount it there because its too low and could potentially be a saftey hazard

Yea not a good idea. I have the Iway500c and it looks good on the front dash. Big enough few to see and drive at the same time. Yea don't go lower then the dash I think. IMO

yeah i tried it once there i guess it was ok as long as you dont have to change anything on the screen but i wouldnt reccomend it in the location. i have the garmin nuvi 250w and its loud enough to hear it from that spot

2 issues with the GPS being there you need to put in the directions and you usually have to look if you dont know where you're going. I use that spot to hold change and my Ipod.

wouldn't be able to hear it anyway as i always play my system, but I think i'll give it a go. just need to custom fit it.

to be honest you're a bit thick headed just get some fiberglass and mount one on your dash which is what im doing when my 2 screens come I get my 3rd and the gps not sure what to use all for yet but they're probably going in.

I already have my sirius sportster in the corner. it would look stupid in the middle of my dash also an easy steal for burglars. not thick headed as you think.

Well hope you enjoy the spot like I said it will be a bit difficult.

well we've all told you that it is a bad idea to put a screen there... especially because now ur telling us you don't listen to it so u HAVE to look down at it. post a pic of the install and then after that the pictures of when you rear end somebody because you were looking down at your nav.

thats why i never kept it there. it definatly wouldnt be fun trying to type in directions while driving with it being way down there
