6 monts ago, I bought my 07 galant. I have obnly put about 7k miles on it and the dealer told me I already needed new tires on it. Does anyone know if I should try to get the dealer to give me new tires for selling me a car that couldnt go 10k miles on the tires or if I should just buy new tires for it. Any suggestions would be great.

How many miles does the car have, total? If you bought the car used, and you put 7k miles on it, that means nothing.

If you bought the car new... FIGHT FIGH FIGHT the dealership for new tires. No new tire should only last 7k miles.

What kind of tires are on the car anyway?

On original tires? Just get new tires, if you bought it six months ago used, they are going to tell you to get fucked.

i say ask the service manager at the dealership about it. whenever they done the inspection on it i'm sure they suggested new tires but the sales manager didnt wanna pay (it happens alot at the dealership i work at) but we have customers come back and complain and usually they buy the customer some tires.

7000 miles is a lot of time to drive tires on. 28k is early, but not abnormal by any means. Ask them what the tire tread depth is, if it is better than 5/32nds (meaning 6/32nds or better). Tell them to just give you the car. If it is 5/32nds or less, I'd recommend listening to their recommendation.
