STATE POLICE - NJ TICKETING

Here's the latest test NJ State Police Initiative (Radio Station 101.5 FM

confirmed this info).

Starting today, New Jersey will launch a 30-day speeding ticket frenzy. The state estimates that 9 million dollars will be ge
nerated in speeding tickets. One million dollars will go to pay state troopers over-time. There will be 50 state troopers on duty at all times patrolling the 9 main intersections and highways as follows:

I-295 North and South,
I-95 Jersey Turnpike North and South

I-80 East and West

I-287 North and South
I-78 East and West
I-195 East and West
I-280 East and West
Route 130 - North and South
Garden State Parkway - North and South

5 MPH above the limit can justify a ticket and every state trooper is
supposed to pull a car over and write a ticket every 10 to 20 minutes.

They have issued 30 brand new unmarked Crown Victoria cruisers and are bringing in all of their part-timers on full time. If you work in NJ, NY, DE or CT, you will probably be on one of these highways. So, please be on guard and drive safely!

Starting August 15, the price of a violation to show your driver's license, registration or insurance card at the time you are stopped, increased from $44.00 to $173.00. (Keep these documents in your car). And the fine for not having all three documents is $519.00! The fine for hand-held cell phone use while driving will be going up to $180.00. Please forward this to people in N.J. and let them know of this latest Police Initiative.

...The state estimates that 9 million dollars will be generated in speeding tickets...

So much for looking out for public safety.

They really have nothing better to do. In the mean time, my girlfriend got pulled over in new york for driving too slow. 44 in a 55, on a local road with no minimum speed limits and heavy deer crossing traffic at 1:30 in the morning. They need to find something better to do then harrass people.

Lol a cop bothered me and my brother last ngiht for chirping tires shifting into second and third on his SI but we werent speeding so he didnt ticket us.

Everyone in jersey goes like 25 mph over speed limit my gfs mom will lose her license if they do this cause I was following her once and we reached 100mph on 287 N at one point.

yeah man. A coworker of mine got stopped at a new speed trap in Jersey City a few months back. He got 2 tickets 1 for speeding and 1 for reckless driving I believe. He was doing 30something in a 25. He went to court tried to plead guilty to the 2 point ticket over the 4, they said you plead guilty to the 4 and we'll drop the 2. He is going back Wednesday with representation.

That sounds about right. These 'letters' may be spam, but that doesn't mean there isn't some truth to them.

I was driving last night and I saw a state trooper in the ditch probably 300 yards past where the speed limit drops to 60mph in a work zone. My radar detector picked him up about a half mile before I got up to him. He pulled someone over that was maybe ten cars behind me. It makes me so mad to see that. There's nothing to be done about it though.

I think this has already happened, because back in late February to early March people were pulled over all over the place on the Turnpike and I-287 and the Parkway.

New Jersey has already made their profit. lol
