Im not sure what it looks like in person but have you tried using plyers to grip the round part and turning? Or have you used a flat head screw driver to arch it out? Sorry if that didnt help just trying to help my friend

Wait is it even connected to anything? if not then there shouldnt be a need to take it out?

Ok that is NOT a bolt Its a guide pin and it does NOT get removed.

Take a picture of the whole entire bar in a few spots so we can see where you forgot to remove the bolts? Did you take out the 3 bolts that are toward the driver side up near the top of the firewall?

Imo, if it's only a guide pin, like Stewi said, you can just cut it with dremel and attach it later with bolt.

no its a guide pin, like it guides it in to center the bolt hole, it doesnt fasten to anything so there would be no reason to cut it.

Just like Cali said, you need to remove those 3 bolts. Looking at your pic, the left most bolt (of the three near the firewall), see there is like a tab that goes under the black sound deadening material, im pretty sure there is a bolt back there, use a razor and cut/peel it back and take a look. That bar came out fairly easy for me.

the hardest thing doing this is removing that bar, pry it out the hole. thats the only way.

Calm down. If something is welded, it was meant to not be moved. So why attempt to do so?

Removing the dashboard is MUCH easier than it appears to be. Cali already answered your question.

well when i did the 5spdswap i attempted to remove the bar in order to get to the shift cable bolt (which everyone knows to be a bitch to get at maybe the hardest part of the swap lls) and i took out every bolt and screw i could only to move the bar foward 0mm which sucked. I pulled and pryed, but the bar remained solid the best i could do was use my full body weight to pull back and move it a little but that was pointless cuz if i let go i would be right back where i started.
